Hi all, After some previous hints, the time has finally come for me to officially offer you : *CRYPTIC AUDIO LIVE* This brand new live act features the KEMAL alongside a crew of extremely talented international musicians and offers some very fresh drum’n’bass and breatbeat. This new sound is a fusion of oriental sounds drum’n’bass elements with added but not ‘over the top’ vocals. It is defiantely no rave music, but rather a more grown up, dynamic sound and would suit an open-minded audience best. On the other hand, Cryptic Audio is not as commercial sounding as some other dnb live shows. It is ideal for venues with a history of electronic music concerts/live acts. But let the music ‘speak’ for itself : *REAL AUDIO* sniplets of some of the new material : http://crypticaudio.com/stream/ *KEMAL alongside DRESDEN CODEX :* Bring you live sequencing and mixing. The recent release ‘Glimpse Of Truth’ was a little taster of what those two are capable of. Check real audio here: http://www.breakbeat.co.uk/player/audio.asp?ID=7316 While Dresden Codex is a relatively new name on the drum’n’bass map, KEMAL has been one of the most profilic and respected producers of recent years, with extremely popular releases on labels such as Timeless, DSCI4, Underfire, Moving Shadow and his own Negative and Cryptic Audio under his belt. With Cryptic Audio Live he aims to feature a rather more dynamic and grown-up sound, away from the strictly technoid and rave compatible sound he has become known for. But he feels that open-minded fans will easily be able to identify with this fresh approach. *VALERIA CARBONI :* The Italian born and London based singer has previously recorded an album with the reformed pop band "Katarina and the Waves". Later she returned to her underground roots and performed live, with London’s ‘Future Thinkin’ collective in London’s major clubs. After some very promising initial recording sessions she has become an integral part of Cryptic Audio Live. *LOUIS ROYAL :* As a professional bass player he toured with many live bands for the past 10 years. He finds his inspiration in traditional Eastern music. He also plays the gimbre a.k.a. the Gnawa bass (Tribal music from North Africa) . He first joined the project as a session musician, then became a full member and composer of the band. *FABRICE RIZZIN :* started as a solist guitarist in the french indie band ‘The Feedback’ . After one album release he moved to London where he started the ‘Downliners Sekt’. Fabrice adds his blues guitarist skills to the show. ____________________________________________________ _Show details :_ Duration 1 hour live, ca. 70% drum’n’bass, 30% breakbeat Travel party small budgets : 3 artists (Kemal, Dresden Codex, Valeria Carboni) larger budgets : 4-5 artists (additionally Louis Royal and Fabrice Rizzin) Price depends on number of artists, travel arrangements, etc. I aim to offer this live act at a competitive rate, so feel free to get in touch with realistic offers. P.A. requirement beyond the usual setup : one monitor speaker per artist and one Pioneer CDJ 1000 Venues This show can be, but is not only for drum’n’bass clubnights. It feels equally ‘at home’ in open-minded venues and festivals with a history of live electronic music bookings. I look forward to receiving your feedback.
